Spring Time

Spring has sprung and summer is right around the corner. We want to help keep you informed of the coolest trends to excite your guests at your next outdoor event. An easy go to décor item to add a little uniqueness to your party is the Mason jar. Mason jars can be used for drinks, décor or for silverware holders and they are better for the environment compared to a disposable cup.

Another tip to remember when preparing for a home event is that the best décor can be located right inside your home. A simple solution for a silverware holder is pictured below in painted or colored flower pots with handmade tags. Another fun way to jazz up your party image is by using of a nontraditional vessel to ice down your beverages. A canoe filled with ice cold drinks is a much “cooler” approach than a plastic drink cooler seen (or sat on) at every outdoor event. Adding a few special touches to your party takes it from ordinary to extraordinary! Give us a call today and we can help you with all of your party needs.Spring Time

Sunday, December 2 was a great day to be a Fashion Rewards member at the Menlo Park Nordstrom.  We catered a private holiday shopping party for the lucky shoppers. As soon as the shoppers walked in the store, we greeted them with our signature holiday desserts, champagne and sparkling water. As they shopped we passed desserts and more champagne. We also had a red velvet station and a cheesecake station set-up for the guests to indulge in.

“Keep Calm & Party On” was the theme of this Bat Mitzvah, and that is EXACTLY what everyone did! We had the pleasure of partnering with Club Vibe & Jersey Street Party Rental to create an event that was sure to be unforgettable. The party kicked off with a pink themed cocktail hour followed by a party themed main room with four unique dinner stations. The décor produced by Jersey Street was customized for the Bat Mitzvah girl and transformed Club Vibe into a party like no other! The guests danced and ate the day away at this rockin’ bat mitzvah!

We had the pleasure of catering a beautiful wedding at the Newark Museum  for a couple that was fortunate enough to have their mothers set them up. As the story goes, the couple lived in the same town and crossed paths a few times throughout the years; their mothers were persistent about the two of them dating. After one failed attempt to set their children up on a date, the mothers put their matchmaking talents to the test and wouldn’t you know…Mother really does know best!  A few years later the venue was chosen and the caterer was set.

The couple was wed at the museum followed by a full cocktail hour, sit down dinner and an assortment of delicious desserts.  Check out how gorgeous the museum looked on their special day

The bride and groom put a fun and creative spin on a traditional wedding program.

Not only was the wedding photographed, it was painted as well!

To the newlyweds,

Thank you for having us as your caterer on your wedding day.

Congratulations and may life bring you many happy days!

A special “Thank You” to Unlimited Exposures for allowing us to use these terriffic photos.

Who says a Bat Mitzvah has to take place in a ballroom? A ballroom setting is a great option, but we have proof that a backyard can also be the perfect location for a Bat Mitzvah. This summer we joined forces with Jersey Street Party Rentals  & Pink Dahlia Florist  to create a beautiful backyard Bat Mitzvah at the home of our client. We not only catered the Bat Mitzvah, we also catered a Friday night gourmet buffet dinner held at their home and a Kiddush at Temple B’Nai Abraham. For the Bat Mitzvah we did a combination of passed hors d’oeuvres, passed small plates and a slider station. With our food, Pink Dahlia’s & Jersey Street’s décor this event was sure to be a hit!

The Bat Mitzvah girl’s name started with the letter …

As this client said when we asked how she had heard of us, “Everyone uses Encore!”

Newark Museum

We are thrilled to share some event photos from a wedding we catered at the Newark Museum! We work closely with the museum to plan the perfect event in their amazing rental spaces. Museums are the newest trend in the wedding market because they offer an elegant appearance and non-traditional value to brides and grooms. The Newark Museum not only has a spectacular indoor space that can hold more than 200 guests, they also have a magnificently landscaped garden that is ideal for outdoor ceremonies, pictures and even a cocktail hour.

The wedding featured in today’s blog held the ceremony in the Alice Ransom Dreyfuss Memorial Garden followed by the reception in the Engelhard Court. One of our favorite aspects of this venue is the gorgeous backdrop the museum provides while still allowing the event to be the main attraction. A special thank you to Desiree at http://www.dmdcphotography.com/ for allowing us to use photos from the wedding! These photos do a fantastic job of showcasing the wedding and the museum as a pair.

Also, as a perk to the rental of the museum court, the guests have access to the museum’s galleries, which can be toured before and during the event. The museum is not limited to hosting weddings, it’s a great spot for other celebrations, corporate entertaining or conferences.

Check out this beautiful wedding and contact us to start planning your next event!
